i suck at titles. you guys need to come up with a title for this one.

verse 1:
you must feel
so righteous in your indignation
your fear has gripped you
and your anger burns you up

if i could make you listen

this empathy you proclaim?

i can't hear your claims
of humility over the din
of your obnoxious self-righteousness
you plug your ears and pretend you're okay

you'll try to fix me with
your formulas and scripture verses
you can't get your hands dirty
you can't listen and just be here
