I will use this, roughly, to make the schedule. I am going to give Noah a little more time to work on the blue jeans song so we'll skip it for a couple weeks.

This week we will be working on:

in or out
Katharine
Puppet Master

Katharine and Puppet Master are basically done so that will be easy. In or Out needs more parts. =P

I am going to open a new thread to discuss.

Janice

Janice thinks we should cover:

Covers!

Ben Folds - Still (from over the hedge)

Ben Folds - Tiny Dancer (Elton John cover!)

Ben Folds - Jesusland
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjqiQQ2L1qA&feature=user

Just some ideas. <3

In Addition

...to Elizabeth's list of various covers (the only one I think is completely silly is Rocket Man - seriously... when Shatner's done a song that way, one cannot go back), I'm going to propose these songs:

Don't Stop Believing - Journey

Fragile - Sting

Don't Let the Sun (Go Down on Me) - Elton John

Um... and some more I can't remember. Because its 2:30 in the morning. More later.

Liz's possible covers!!

Here are the songs I want to cover!
(besides sarah's awesome picks of apologize and dreaming with a broken heart)

My Sweet Lord - George Harrison
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ls8Mhoafn0
I want Noah to sing leads and the rest of us background vocals. This will be the greatest thing ever. This song comes on in the deli a lot and I heard it on the radio today. It's a total ear worm. LOL.
((OMG. here's a john mayer version!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPxiF330HSY))

Fields of Gold - Sting
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UppX6vP3c4g
A beautiful classic song. Amber already has the bass and I know I can sing it. It'll make the audience sway.

Bend and Break - Keane
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ke6iwn71l0I&feature=related
Keane fucking rocks. It was this one or 'everybody's changing' and this one is more upbeat. We'd have to improv a guitar part, tho. LOL.

The Scientist
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3Kd7IGPyeg
Gorgeous song and it was a popular single! We have some parts already and I can sing it ... well... I like to think so. LOL.

Oh wow. I just found an awesome female vocal version of the scientist...
Natasha Bedingfield

Viva La Vida
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvgZkm1xWPE
Yes, I know this song has instruments that we can only dream of... but we can do an acoustic version! This song comes on the radio like every 15 minutes right now so the audience should definitely be surprised to hear our version. I've played it with guitar only and sang and it sounds fab. LOL.

Rocket Man - Sir Elton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzrKlEtxTx4
I haven't actually tried to sing this one yet... but I think it would rock. =D

Calling You - Blue October

Sunday Morning - Maroon 5
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Xvl5NIYRMo
This was my very favorite song a couple years ago.

summer squeeze

verse 1:
you were my summer squeeze
my muse, my little tease
you had me tripping out
with those sweet lips of yours
(repeat)

chorus 1:
now it's fall and we've both moved on
but i can't say i regret
those secret kisses
and special hugs

verse 2:
though i wish i could still
be your little plaything
i'm glad you've found your
full-time squeeze

i never got a chance
to taste your honey pot
i never got past
first base with you

chorus 2:
if you'd like a third for company
you know i'm up for it baby
but i'm just glad i found
such a good friend in you

back to verse 1 (play only once this time)

(posted the mp3 in the box to your right)
*Edit: The up tempo version is up now
